Dead, diseased lungs and mouths infected are some who find the images you buy a pack of snuff in the U.S. from October 2012, reported the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

After reviewing a study of more than 18,000 scientists and other reports, the FDA and the Department of Health will proceed to implement the new regulations requiring pictorial warnings are part of the 20 percent of advertising for each brand.

The snuff is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States, where 443,000 people killed a year and 1,200 a day.

Although the number of smokers has dropped significantly in the country over the past 40 years, the decline has stalled recently, and today about 20 percent of the adult population-46 million cigarettes consumed.

Among high school students, there are 19.5 percent of smokers, according to official figures.

The new measure, similar to the one driven in several European countries, is part of a law enacted in June 2009 by President Barack Obama, which gives the government control the production, sale and advertising of snuff over the objections of the industry required to disclose all ingredients.

The purpose of the law, and to achieve a significant decrease in deaths from snuff, is to get an annual saving of about 100,000 million dollars in health care costs.
